Kris Kennel Kuts & More - Training

Puppy Potty Training along with Doggy Daycare

Potty Training or housebreaking a pup can sometimes be aggravating and upsetting.

Our facility is now offering pup potty training to assist pet parents with this important part of the pet's life. Although not 100% effective, we find our proven program is "As good as mom's apple pie!"
How does this program work?

From Wednesday through Friday, your pup attends day care, for which we charge our regular fee. A day care pet is taken out twice during a regular day care. On the first day of pup potty training, we use these two potty times for the first two hours of daycare, and then your pet is taken out EVERY hour for an additional charge. When your pet goes potty, he or she is rewarded with a tiny treat and comes back in for play n stay time! NO-POTTY-NO TREAT! On day two, we repeat the same process, using an egg timer as a reminder EVERY HOUR AND ONE HALF! On day, three, we repeat the same process using an egg timer as a reminder for EVERY TWO HOURS.

Pet Parents will need to follow through in the evenings with this training program. On Saturday and Sunday, parents will need to continue to train consistently (2 1/2 - 3 hours in between on Saturday and 3 – 4 hours on Sunday)

If all goes well over the weekend, pet parents may want us to "Watch" their pup in day care again on Monday and Tuesday, reinforcing the potty training policy. By Tuesday evening, a pup will have had a one week crash course in "POTTY 101", and the worst will be behind both the pup and his/her parents!

Remember, our facility offers this beginner program to help assist busy pet parents in proper and positive potty techniques. WE DO NOT OFFER A "MIRICAL CURE". However, we feel our staff, a great parent or two, and an exceptional dog can make miracles happen!
